Events Cancelled, But Grand ReOpening Sale Continues!

March 17, 2020 - March 21, 2020

Weekend Events Are Canceled

But Our Sale Continues

Our newly renovated store is open, so stop in!

Dear Valued Customers,

With the recent developments surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are following the Connecticut Department of Health’s recommendations and canceling our Open House Celebration on Saturday, March 21, which was going to feature the Round Hill Alpacas and free refreshments.

We do invite you to visit our Garden Center to see all of our new renovations, explore the early blooms of spring, and take in the fresh scents of the season. Even though we won’t be having the alpacas and refreshments, we will still be offering the 15% discount on all items and 50% to 75% off our tag sale area.

Our hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5.

At Cropley’s Garden Center, the health and safety of our customers and staff has always been our top priority. Having made all of the renovations this winter with a complete cleaning and repainting of all surfaces and being closed, we feel we are off to a clean start. We will continue to clean and sanitize surfaces and have hand wipes, sanitizer, and gloves available.

As of now working, outside may be one of the healthier things we can do! We will be offering drive-up and pick-up service for any plants or lawn care supplies you may need. As always, we do offer free local delivery on all items with no minimum purchase (bulk items excluded).

If you want to spend a little time outside, we can help. Our staff is happy to help you, as always, with any lawn care or plant advice you may need. We wish you all safe and healthy times.
— Jim Cropley and staff

Things you can do outdoors during these stressful times:

  • Plant peas in your garden for the early harvest.
  • Start your vegetable seeds indoors for that garden you love so much — harvesting your own vegetables is a great idea!
  • Plant pansies for early spring color and to add some cheer.
  • Now is the time to start your lawn work: raking, overseeding, and applying preemergent crabgrass control and lime. Get an early start!

Things you can do inside other than cleaning:
  • A houseplant or two will help purify the air in your home.
  • Brighten up your surroundings with a beautiful flowering plant or a fresh bouquet of flowers.
